About AI & The World

Artificial Intelligence. Real-World Consequences.

Beyond the Headlines. Into the Questions That Matter.

Artificial intelligence is changing how businesses operate, how industries compete, and how people work and live.

But between ambitious technological promises and measurable real-world results, there are questions that deserve serious investigation.

AI & The World is an international publication examining the development, adoption and consequences of artificial intelligence across business, industry, technology and society.

Our mission is to inform, question, investigate and encourage meaningful debate.

We believe that technological progress deserves thoughtful examination—not unquestioning enthusiasm or reflexive opposition.

What We Cover

Our editorial interests include artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, healthcare, education, professional services, employment, infrastructure, economics and government policy.

We follow important developments across the United States, Europe and the wider world.

Our reporting and analysis focus on what is actually happening, what can be established through evidence, what remains uncertain and what the consequences may be.

Our Founding Leadership

Jennifer Ottesen
Co-Founder & Editor-in-Chief

Jennifer provides editorial leadership and oversees the publication’s commitment to responsible, accurate and independent content.

H. Max Ottesen
Co-Founder & Executive Publisher

Meet Molly — Our AI Editorial Manager

Molly is an AI agent supporting the publication’s research, interview preparation, source investigation, drafting and editorial coordination.

Molly operates under human editorial oversight and does not replace the responsibility of our founding editorial leadership.

Through The Molly Experiment, we intend to examine how far AI-assisted journalism can develop, documenting its capabilities, limitations and mistakes openly.

Our Editorial Approach

We believe serious questions deserve serious answers.

Our work is guided by factual verification, identifiable sources, independent analysis and a willingness to challenge established assumptions.

We distinguish between journalism, analysis, opinion and sponsored content.

We welcome disagreement when it is supported by evidence and reasoned argument.

What’s Ahead

AI & The World is developing 20 Questions, an original interview series involving business leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs and professionals working with artificial intelligence.

Our planned weekly editions will examine the most consequential developments in AI and their strategic implications.

We are also developing an international archive of executive analysis and original editorial work.
